BES Strengthens Leadership with Appointment of Jamie Jacobs as Director of Technical Services
Bent Ear Solutions (BES), a leader in helping organizations optimize their existing technologies to achieve comprehensive situational awareness for critical decision support, is proud to announce the appointment of Jamie Jacobs as Director of Technical Services. Jacobs brings more than two decades of experience spanning emergency response, public safety, and geospatial technology, and a career-long focus on putting the right information in front of the people who need it most.
The appointment strengthens BES’s ability to deliver mission-driven solutions to state and local agencies, public safety organizations, and critical infrastructure clients it serves. In her role, Jacobs will lead the company’s technology vision, guiding how BES leverages and connects existing systems with emerging technologies to deliver focused solutions that more effectively support its clients' unique missions.
“Jamie has lived the missions our clients are responsible for. She’s been a paramedic on special operations teams and the strategist helping agencies see clearly in the middle of a disaster,” said CEO Chris McIntosh. “That blend of field experience and technical depth is rare, and it’s exactly what we want at the center of how we build for our clients across the nation.”
Jacobs began her career on the front lines of emergency response as a firefighter and EMT, then as a paramedic leading special operations teams through wildland fire, swiftwater, high-angle, tactical, and mass-casualty missions. She went on to found Rocky Top Medical, where she built mobile GIS applications to support emergency medical deployments in some of the world’s most austere environments and advised federal, state, local, and foreign governments on disaster preparedness and response. Jacobs joined Esri in 2019, where she served as a Senior Geospatial Strategy Consultant and EMS lead on the company’s disaster and humanitarian crisis team, helping public safety agencies modernize their situational awareness capabilities, leveraging satellite, aerial, and drone imagery to provide greater decision support to protect lives during large-scale disasters, until accepting her new role at Bent Ear Solutions.
“Every solution I’ve built started with listening to the responder, the dispatcher, or the person who has to live with the system at 3 a.m. That’s at the core of Bent Ear Solutions and why I am proud to be joining this team that makes a tangible impact. ”
From the front lines of disaster response to the strategy behind large-scale geospatial programs, Jamie Jacobs has been there. She now steps into a role built to turn that experience into technology solutions that improve performance, efficiency, and resilience for the customers and partners Bent Ear Solutions serves nationwide. There’s no one better for the job.
