ROLE DESCRIPTION
BES is seeking an analyst to provide direct support to a federal client that is responsible for monitoring, collecting, analyzing, and reporting on incidents that could impact, or are currently impacting, operations.
The Analyst should have a fundamental understanding of open-source research and the ability to navigate and investigate key areas of the internet. Analysts at all levels must be able to process data efficiently and communicate findings clearly, confidently, and quickly to colleagues. While the role requires the ability to work independently, collaboration with team members and stakeholders is essential to achieving the best outcomes. Given the dynamic nature of this work, the ideal candidate must be adaptable, flexible, and able to respond to shifting priorities, processes, and task requirements.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform extensive research and analysis in key areas of the open-source and deep and dark web.
Process data and information and clearly communicate discoveries to their colleagues with confidence, clarity, and speed.
Deliver reports and presentations in a thorough and professional manner.
Support the implementation of OSINT policies and procedures.
OSINT query-building and ongoing monitoring.
Advise and provide input on policies and operational considerations.
Provide direct support to a federal client responsible for monitoring, collecting, analyzing, and reporting on incidents that could, or are currently, having an impact on critical client operations.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
Understands how to review, revise, and report data and information, including items that may be sensitive in nature.
Ability to perform objective research and apply basic analytical techniques.
Capable of applying logic and reason to tasks and new or complex situations.
Ability to engage with stakeholders and partner agencies and be trusted to adequately represent the organization and client.
Capable of both receiving and providing constructive feedback in a professional manner with team members, leadership, the client, and stakeholders.
Experience coordinating with and briefing senior officials.
Ability to work a flexible work schedule.
Must possess basic computer skills, including use of MS Office products and telework technology.
Advanced writing, communication, and presentation skills.
Excellent research and analytical skills.
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s Degree in Intelligence, Emergency Management, Homeland Security, or a related field required.
1 – 3 years of experience in related work preferred.
Willingness and desire to learn new skills as our small company dictates throughout its growth.
Ability to work 40 hours or more a week as required by workload.
Ability to obtain Top-Secret Security Clearance.
